About Carl Major

Carl qualified as a sports massage practitioner in 2003.

In 2005 he furthered his training and qualification and became a member of the Institute of Sports & Remedial Massage. He has worked with professional athletes as well as members of the general public treating a whole range of musculoskeletal conditions.

Carl receives regular referrals from a local physiotherapist, GP and a consultant rheumatologist.

Carl is also a qualified teacher and assessor and is the principal tutor for the CSSM (Cambridge School of Sports Massage). Carl also runs his own CPD courses in advanced massage techniques.

"In many ways the term 'sports massage' can be misleading. A vast majority of people I treat are suffering from chronic pain due to poorly rehabilitated injuries, or because they have postural issues often due to their occupation. We look to resolve these issues through the application of specific massage techniques, neuromuscular therapy and helping to increase the patient's self awareness."
